Mosaic 2024 Catalyst Registration

Catalysts at Mosaic play a role that goes beyond traditional participant labels. Instead of planning scripted performances, they act as dynamic architects of unsanctioned and spontaneous moments, infusing Mosaic with unexpected magic. Mosaic Catalysts are encouraged to showcase a pop-up art installation, orchestrate an impromptu drum circle, or create an interactive experience that surprises and delights fellow participants.

Catalysts eagerly absorb the collective energy and knowledge Mosaic offers, serving as conduits for the transformative essence of the experience. It's not just about personal enrichment; it's about taking what they gather and igniting positive ripples in their communities.

Deep listening is a crucial skill for Catalysts, recognizing that the richness of Mosaic lies not just in individual expression but in the collective tapestry of shared experiences. By actively engaging in meaningful conversations and discussions, Catalysts cultivate an environment where insights can be distilled and transformed into actionable ideas. This intentional dialogue extends beyond the gathering, as Catalysts carry these discussions back to their communities, becoming ambassadors of positive change. In a world filled with noise, Catalysts at Mosaic embrace the art of deep listening and intentional dialogue, ensuring that the knowledge gained becomes a catalyst for meaningful transformation beyond the confines of the gathering.

Tell Us About Yourself

Catalyst Kids

Mosaic prioritizes creating an inclusive and respectful environment for participants of all ages. Please note that anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. We will check IDs at the gate to ensure compliance with this policy. Everyone ages 13 and up is required to register as a Catalyst or apply as a Creator. Children ages 12 and under do not require registration or an application.

Please note: While we uphold standards that prohibit graphic sexual content, gore, and hateful speech, we embrace tasteful and artistic expressions, including nudity and discussions of challenging subject matter. During the day, we're committed to maintaining a PG-rated atmosphere. However, as the evening unfolds after 10 pm, we encourage parents to gauge their comfort levels, recognizing the evolving nature of the Mosaic experience.

Support the Foundation

Not for Profit... for Purpose

Accessibility is the cornerstone of the Mosaic gathering. Now, we're empowering you as a Catalyst to tailor your involvement by choosing your own financial offering, ranging from $75 to $125. While we estimate the average hard costs per Catalyst at around $100 for the weekend, we value the spirit of accessibility, allowing you to contribute based on what aligns with your means. Your offering becomes the vital support for essential services such as security, medical, production, marketing and promotion, permits, insurance, power, fuel, and more. As a not-for-profit gathering, your generosity propels our shared vision forward. Thank you for being a crucial part of co-creating the Mosaic experience!

If you wish to see a breakdown of expenses, please visit the Transparency section on The Experiment page to see exactly how your financial contributions are being put to use.

Thank you for your generous offering. Together, we are creating something beautiful ❤

Participant Guidelines

This is a 3 day camping event at an off-grid ranch in Northern Arizona. As such you will need to be fully self-sufficient and self-reliant. This includes food, water, shelter, and adequate gear for warm days and chilly nights. Below are some additional guidelines that we ask you to agree to before submitting your application so that we're all on the same page!

We ask that you:

  • Embrace Your Authentic Self: Come as you are, and allow others to do the same.
  • Practice Kindness: Foster a community of compassion. Practice kindness toward yourself and others, and help cultivate a culture of vulnerability where everyone feels safe and valued.
  • Burn Responsibly: If you plan to spin fire, only spin in designated areas after attending our fire safety workshop. Prioritize safety.
  • Respect Boundaries: Honor personal and emotional boundaries. Cultivate an atmosphere of respect and consent by respecting boundaries.
  • Consume Consciously: If you choose to partake, please only use alcohol or other legal substances responsibly, mindfully and safely.
  • Keep It Legal: Abide by the law and respect the regulations governing our gathering.
  • Stay on Designated Paths: Help ensure the preservation of this precious landscape by sticking to existing roads and pathways.
  • Secure Your Belongings: Unexpected wind gusts can reach 80mph+ at Gateway Ranch. Prepare for unpredictable weather by strongly securing your tent, trash, and personal items.
  • Leave No Trace: Maintain a tidy space and contribute to the cleanliness of the communal areas. If you see MOOP, please pick it up even if it’s not yours. We’ve got each others’ backs.
  • Practice Self-Reliance: Bring everything you need to sustain yourself and enjoy your experience.
  • Express Yourself Fearlessly: Actively express yourself and encourage others to do the same. Embrace radical self-expression and let your unique self shine!
  • Use Propane Only: Prioritize safety in open flames. Use propane cooking stoves and fire pits with an on/off switch in designated areas. No burning trash or wood outside of designated, venue-maintained fires.
  • Respect Restricted Zones: The houses at Gateway Ranch are private residences and are not accessible without proper credentials. Please respect and uphold the boundaries in place.

  • Celebrate Diversity: Actively embrace the richness of our diverse community. Learn, share, and celebrate the unique perspectives that each Catalyst brings to Mosaic.

Gateway Ranch Environmental Impact Mitigation Fee

At Mosaic, we are dedicated to the preservation and sustainability of Gateway Ranch, our cherished event venue. While Gateway Ranch generously donates the use of their land for Mosaic, they implement an Environmental Impact Mitigation Fee to offset the environmental footprint of the event. This nominal fee of $30 per car entering the property during the event aims to encourage carpooling, minimizing the number of individual vehicles accessing the site.

We want to emphasize that this is not a fee charged by Mosaic; 100% of this fee goes directly to Gateway Ranch to assist in their environmental sustainability goals.

Your support is vital in upholding this commitment to environmental stewardship. By complying with Gateway Ranch's Environmental Impact Mitigation Policy, you actively participate in their ongoing efforts to maintain and preserve the natural beauty of the land. Additionally, your participation plays a crucial role in the broader sustainability initiatives that contribute to a healthier and more resilient ecosystem.

We appreciate your understanding and collaboration in creating a harmonious relationship with the environment at Gateway Ranch. Together, we can ensure that Mosaic remains a beacon of responsible event management and continues to embody the principles of environmental sustainability.

No Pressure Gesture

It felt a bit irresponsible not to offer folks the opportunity to contribute more than $125 if they felt inclined, but seriously no pressure! Although neither obligatory nor assumed, any extra contributions beyond your initial financial offering are genuinely appreciated. These additional gifts play a significant role in supporting our financial needs for Mosaic 2024 and beyond. They also contribute to enhancing accessibility for those who may require financial assistance to join us. Your generosity makes a meaningful impact, and we are sincerely grateful.
